Cracked Paint Stretch Velvet - Pale Powder Blue

A polyester jersey knit fabric with a knit bonded fusible interfacing, coated on the technical face with a thick paint-like cracked film. The cracked paint surface does not easily peel or flake off, and does not stretch with the knit structure underneath - so when stretching the fabric, the crevasses between the paint cracks will expand larger and contract.

Heavy weight and thick with a very heavy, fluid drape and minimal structure, opaque with a dry, grainy handle, a low glossy appearance, good amount of stretch in the weft direction and some slight stretch in the warp direction. 

Compared to our Cracked Paint Bonded Jersey, this fabric has a finer texture with much smaller cracks, but has great stretch and beautiful drape, perfect for student work, avant-garde fashion, or a draped gown replicating the look of antiquity sculpture -- utilising the fabric's cracked marble-like appearance.
