Baked Earth Cloqué Matelassé - Sage / Charcoal

Two plain woven textile layers joined together with an inner weft yarn that is shrunk, giving the fabric a 3 dimensional blistered texture. Yarn dyed, then there is a special treatment applied to the technical face (not submersion dyeing) that darkens only the elevated areas of the fabric, giving the fabric a grunge, worn look.

Polyester is used intentionally here, rather than for cost effectiveness, as its thermoplastic quality maintains the texture of the fabric wear after wear without losing its original quality. Intentionally 'dirty' in appearance, it lends itself best to streetwear and edgy avant-garde looks.

A light to medium weight fabric with a voluminous drape and opaque coverage. It has some give in the weft direction and slight give in the warp direction.
