Sashiko Boro Yarn Stripe Cotton - Light Pink

A double woven cotton fabric woven with red, light pink and white yarn, and with two 2-ply chunky white sashiko yarns in running boro stitch along the weft, repeating as a stripe every 1cm. The boro stitches are both aesthetic and functional, reinforcing the double woven structure of the fabric. The tension of the boro stitch pulls the fabric together slightly, creating a slight bumpy seersucker-like effect. 

Heavy weight with a voluminous drape and very soft structure, opaque with a soft, lumpy handle, matte appearance and no give in either direction.
